We’re not the fittest, or fastest. Definitely not the most polished. But we show up.

In a space obsessed with looking effortless, Brickhouse is more about effort itself. The shambolic reps. The missed lifts, the frustrations, the days where everything just feels heavy for no reason. Because that’s most of it.

Comparison is everywhere, and it’s mostly unhelpful. There’s always someone stronger, quicker, further ahead. That’s great. We’re more interested in the people next to us; the ones turning up, getting a little better, and not pretending it’s come easily.

Because once the beginner gains tail off, which they do quickly, it’s the small, steady improvements that carry you. An extra rep. Cleaner movement. The sessions you wanted to skip but didn’t. That’s the win.

Why this exists

After over 15 years of trying everything; running, lifting, HIIT, whatever looked like the answer at the time; one thing became obvious:

Who you do it with matters more.

A room full of people really trying, beats any perfect program. No ego, no pretending; just effort, on good days and bad ones.
